Job Description

Required skills:

  • Experience with Amazon Web services (AWS)
  • System (hardware, software and networking) Design and Architecture.
  • Familiarity with the geospatial domain and technologies (ArcGIS, WMS, WFS, KML).
  • Understanding of SW development methodologies (Agile), Cost and work Estimation (Excel).
  • Requires BS and 4-8 years of prior relevant experience OR Masters with 2 - 6 years of prior relevant experience; OR an additional 4 years of experience in lieu of degree
  • Must currently posses an active Ts/SCI, with ability to obtain a Polygraph post hire

Responsibilities:

  • Leveraging open-source and in-house tools to manage public cloud infrastructure via code.
  • Designing reusable infrastructure components for scalable, highly-available, secure cloud architectures for cloud-native applications that adhere to industry regulations (HIPAA, PCI DSS, etc.).
  • Providing input and expertise to senior engineers to maintain alignments with best practices and recommending system improvements.
  • Designing and maintaining data pipelines using Apache Kafka and other big-data tools.
  • Supporting production cloud applications to ensure SLAs are met.
  • Participating in design discussions and problem solving sessions.
  • Staying current with new trends and technologies.
