About the Role
TechProjects is seeking a highly skilled Workday Absence Management Techno-Functional Lead / Subject Matter Expert (SME) to support one of our direct insurance sector clients in Hartford, CT. The client is currently engaged in a merger & acquisition (M&A) initiative, and this role will play a critical part in ensuring seamless HR technology integration.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the design, configuration, and implementation of Workday Absence Management solutions.
Partner with business and technical teams to define requirements, deliver functional/technical design, and support conversions and interfaces.
Provide subject matter expertise on Absence Management processes including:
Employee Self-Service
Manager Dashboards
Automated Processes
Policy & Leave Plan Management
Integrated Platform Capabilities
Analytics & Reporting
Mobile Access
Configurability
Collaborate with stakeholders during the M&A transition, ensuring compliance, data accuracy, and process continuity.
Deliver high-quality documentation, testing, and knowledge transfer to business users.
Qualifications
Strong techno-functional expertise in Workday Absence Management.
Proven experience with design, conversions, and interface development in Workday.
Prior involvement in merger & acquisition (M&A) projects is highly desirable.
Experience within the insurance industry is a plus (not mandatory).
Excellent problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Work Environment
Primarily remote role with occasional travel (up to 10%) to Hartford, CT.
